# technoid drum ritual
# high-energy-minimal-polyrhythm-meditation
Being close to death is one of my most moving experiences, contrasting how impermanent we are and how deeply permanent someone's effect on us can be. Together with my mother, I have been walking this path between life and death for the past four years, during which time my 40-minute drum solo piece has gradually evolved. It's not about loss, but about how we perceive life more intensely through our proximity to death and how it connects us to the moment and community; it's about this non-dualistic state of life and death as a daily practice. Played on a uniquely prepared drum kit, without loops or overdubs, the music moves between drum rituals, contemporary minimalism and techno rave.

"Being closer to the line between life and death is one of the most moving experiences I have had. It's a beautiful contrast to see how impermanent we are and how deeply permanent someone's effect on us can be."

Food:
Please provide 2 healthy vegetarian meals.
One Person has the following dietary restrictions:
Due to allergies and an exhausted small intestine:
no soy/tofu, no cabbage and cabbage-related vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, pakchoi, kale, etc), lentils, spinach, celery, and pepperoni, and no hazelnut, almonds, or walnuts. Very very small amounts, like soy sauce or miso for flavoring or ingredients in spices, are ok. Touching dry stuff (like pepperoni on a cheese plate) is no problem, but pepperoni in a soup is a problem.Things that work very well:
everything starch and gluten related (wheat, whole grain, pasta, bread, rice, …) everything lactose related (milk, yoghurt, …), eggs, chickpeas, mushrooms, salad, herbs, onion, garlic, tomato, cucumber, zucchini, okra, eggplant, potatoes, carrots, peas, fruits, pekan, ceshaw, makedamia, pine nuts, pistachio … corn, beans and tapioca in small to medium amounts works.
Backstage:
A backstage with a mirror would be cool.
If it is a summer festival, enough shade in a cool area is much appreciated.
If it’s indoors, even better, because of hay fever.
Some drinks (including green tea or mate) and healthy snacks in the backstage would be great (bananas and bread/cheese are always winners).
Merch:
We need a place to sell our merch (a big table and something to hang our pullovers) in a well-visible spot with proper lighting.
Accommodation (if needed):
Ideally, two single rooms in a proper, cozy hotel. Home stay is also possible if you provide details beforehand.
It is much appreciated if the accommodation is not more than 10 minutes by car from the venue.
Language:
We feel welcome if people are used to gender inclusive language and respect pronouns.
