Cutecumber: EPK
# Tongue-in-cheek giggles #Rrrriot grrrl Eskapaden! #Art Pop #Smart Pop #Stupid Pop
Cutecumber from Zürich create an energetic, lush band sound, combined with an affinity for pop. They are playful, mischievous, and full of mood swings.
Their music bursts with offbeat humor, multilingual lyrics, quirky earworm melodies, and a leftfield attitude. Their inspirations range from queer and DIY culture to Riot Grrrl, neurodivergence and multicolor-splattered maximalist gay fashion outfit extravaganzas.
Opting for the time-tested combination of chiming guitar, infectious bass, and dancey drums with three lead vocals, the trio write their music collectively and bring it to the stage with frequent instrument swapping. It’s a highbrow lowbrow affair, knowingly stupid and accidentally smart.
Cutecumber offer some much-needed whimsy to face the doom of the world.

Etwas durchgeknallt. Ihr Sound? Macht definitiv glücklich." findet der Züritipp. Gut so!
Genre: Tongue-in-cheek giggles, Rrrriot grrrl Eskapaden! Art Pop, Smart Pop, Stupid Pop
Für Fans von Talking Heads, B52s, Deichkind, Kerosin95, Spliff, Stereolab, Die Antwoord, Le Tigre, Les Rita Mitsouko, Wet Leg, Chappell Roan

In 2021, the band released their indie rock album 'Ok Ciao Kakao' on Red Brick Records under their former name 'Dalai Puma'. For its promotion, they used their advertising budget to hang 100 Comic-Sans-Word-Art-posters in Zürich’s public tram system for a week instead of boosting social media content. As a live band, they toured Switzerland and Europe and succeeded in seducing the audience to join the silly choreography of their song 'Mediane' at every single show.
In 2023, they brought their songs to the main stage of the B-Sides Festival in Lucerne in collaboration with a fully fledged big band. On top of that, the three band members – Ziska Staubli, Ramón Oliveras, and Yannik Sandhofer – remixed their debut album themselves, releasing it in 2024 as 'Ok Wow How?!'. Together with the designer-artisan 'Goodlife Ceramics', the band produced and issued a series of handmade ashtrays.
Seven Years of collaboration form the groundwork for Cutecumber’s forthcoming, self-produced sophomore album. It amplifies the voices of the countless gremlins, fairies, and personas that live in the nooks and crannies of our brains. The new music is spookier, more vulnerable, and more pop, all while carrying forward the band’s signature brand of tongue-in-cheek giggles and shenanigans. The album 'My Scattered Brain' will be released in 2027 on Red Brick Records.

3 healthy vegetarian meals:
1 without spicy stuff.
1 without soy/tofu, without cabagge and cabagge-related vegetables (broccoli, coliflower, etc), corn, lentels and peperoni, and without hazelnut, almonds, walnuts. Very small amounts of everything (like soy sauce for flavoring or ingredients in spices is ok).
some healthy snacks in the backstage would be great (bananas and bread and cheese are always winners).
a backstage with a mirror would be cool. during summer enough shade in a cool area is much appreciated.
a place to sell our merch (a big table and something to hang our shirts) in a well visible spot with proper lighting
