A body, a voice, a patch cable - Claude BΓΌhler's music is political sound in motion. Between booming bass, distorted vocal samples and fragmented beats, a sonic space opens up in which emotion, resistance and playfulness are allowed to unfold in equal measure into a multidimensional, feminist collage.

Claude BΓΌhler is a Swiss artist, who lives and works in the east part of Switzerland. She works mainly with photography and sound. His work examines notions of collectivity and intimacy by creating soft spaces and provoking performative moments, that allow small acts of liberation. In their image- and sound-based practice, an affinity for technology, a willingness to set boundaries within conversations and an interest in moving between the visible and the dream-like are important points of orientation.the sound
Their live sound performances are organised around a self-built modular synth and are mostly fully free improvised. She likes to experiment with analog feedback technics and granular patterns. He gets Inspiration from artists like Belia Winnewisser, Simon Grab, Laurie Anderson and Pauline Oliveros.the spaces
With her solo-project she already played at Les Digitales Geneva, Palace St. Gallen, Art Museum St. Gallen, ZentralwΓ€scherei ZΓΌrich, Helsinki ZΓΌrich, Polyfon Festival Basel and a lot more places between art off-spaces and cute club venues.the community
Claude BΓΌhler is the founder of salon vert, an artist collective and laboratory for sound research and a space for interdisciplinary dialogue and co-director of Rathaus fΓΌr Kultur, a venue and hub for cultural creation.the attitude

Most of the time I am on my own. Whenever possible I travel by public transport. For dinner I prefer a freshly prepared vegan menu. I look forward to local (food-)specialities, maybe a good red wine and/or local beer.
